As a close neighbour of the UK, thousands and thousands of Dutch people have established themselves in the UK. The large Dutch community in Britain has over time integrated into British society, but they brought many aspects of their culture with them. The UK and the Netherlands have a very close relationship of working together and share many economic links.
The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in London assists Dutch and UK-based businesses, organises trade missions and business trips, and represents the Netherlands and its interests to the British government and the British public. Furthermore, the Embassy has an important role in promoting Dutch culture and creative enterprise in the United Kingdom and each year supports multiple cultural events throughout the United Kingdom. BioFrontline was commissioned by the Economic Department of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in London to prepare an overview of the life science sector in the UK with the aim to increase collaborative activities between the life science communities in the UK and the Netherlands.
